Curzio Malaparte, in turn writer, columnist, collection director and great reporter,
traveled all around the world, always returning to Capri where he had a villa built that was made immortal by Godard in his film “le Mépris”. A controversial figure because of his political convictions, he defended Italian fascism before the war, then the Soviet and Chinese forms of communism in the 1950s.Among his many works, two war stories, “Kaput” and “Skin” indicate Malaparte’s great literary talents.
