I tried to make a film that was a sort of adaptation into images of some of the
constraints that Georges Perec adopted in his literary work. It is only an attempt. The existence of the series “A Writer’s Century” fortunately allows for this type of experiment. The film also tries to work within the program’s
guidelines and present the books as well as the way Georges Perec worked. Above all, it is an experiment to be experienced and a memory, image and listening game: Georges Perec narrates the film from start to finish, as if he were still with us for the time of the projection.
