A dark studio, a bare stage, four chairs, a table, a tape recorder, a projector, a few books and some photos are all that’s needed to paint the lively portrait of this “French Stanislavski”. Radio and filmed interviews, some of them never seen before, contribute to defining this personality who, throughout the history of the Théâtre du Vieux Colombier, has had a continuing influence on contemporary theater.
