ON THE TRACKS OF THE HONEY ANT

Where I come from in France I saw a painting: the Dreaming of the Honey Ant. In this Dreaming there are some dots, some crescents, some lines…There is no particular way to look at them. I am overwhelmed but I don’t know why. These signs are like tracks to follow. They took me along to a red desert, the Australian desert. In Papunya I am now living with the Aborigenes of the Desert. I am asking them about the story of the Honey Ant. They are telling me Tjukurrpa, the Dreaming.
