OUR STREET

‘Our Street’ takes place in Lódz, Poland. A working-class family, the Furmanczyk, has been living here for five generations. On the other side of the street is the factory where they all used to work, ruined by the downfall of communism. Now, a French company is transforming the factory into the biggest
commercial and leisure center in Eastern Europe. During 3 years, the director has filmed the life of this family. Through the changes that take place in the modern Poland, the film shows man entangled in the mechanisms of history.
